New charcoal portrait lesson

I love drawing children!

They’re so honest, curious, and completely natural, without any masks or pretence. There’s such a beautiful openness and playfulness in them, something that feels very real and unguarded.

This charcoal portrait of a young child was such a joy to draw, and I’m happy to share that it will be my lesson for Let’s Face It 2026!

A full charcoal portrait lesson, where I guide you through the process of working with different types of charcoal, creating light, shadow and texture, and capturing that spark of curiosity and play.
