Monoprinted portrait

I really loved making this portrait! All done in pastel, with a monoprinted base and only a few supplies: just one pastel pencil and one soft pastel crayon.

I created this drawing for one of my lessons in Let’s Face It 2022, which is going to start in January. I was asked to teach a lesson on a profile head direction, so this is what I made. A profile portrait can sometimes be a challenge to draw, especially to get the right proportions. But with the monoprinting technique that I use in this lesson it’s actually really easy! No difficult measurements or anything like that. Yay!

I’m so excited to be teaching in this year-long course again! If you’d like to join us, then click here for all info and to sign up. I hope to see you there! 🙂
