6. Hi Juna, 2025 will be my 10th year in LFI. I remember the start in 2016 as it was only yesterday. Picking up my penicilline again after years and subscription to my first online class. It was such an eye opener. After years no longer drawing and feeding unhappy, i felt Joy again. LFI was my first and is my favorite online yearcourse. And seeing you for the 10th time teaching is great!!

12. What a wonderful opportunity! I would love to learn about portrait painting techniques, as it’s something I’ve loved for a long time. When I was younger I used to ask strangers if I could sketch their faces and I love looking back at those drawings but I realize now how little I knew about faces. 28. I would like to win a free spot for LFI2025, because I need some motivation to get back into a creative practice again. I haven’t been able to motivate myself to create anything since the beginning of May 2023. That’s when my entire life began to be turned upside down and torn apart. I lost my Dad, then my husband, then my Mom, and then my mother in law, all within 1years time. I’m hoping that if I can get back into a creative practice that it will help me to process the immense grief that I have been feeling.

    Looking to dig deeper and create more authentic art. I have been drawing/painting very stylized whimsical girls after learning that i could draw (with practice) after all! I was told at a very young age that I wasn’t cut out for drawing/painting and that my time would be better spent in the physics lab. It was well spent there, but….a friend directed me to mixed media after a family tragedy as a way of dealing with grief….and opened up a whole new world for me. I LOVE my art practice and need it, this class would help me expand my skills and explore other ways of drawing/painting faces.

43. I took part in LFI 2018 and learned so much about drawing and painting portraits. In six years I’ve continued my journey of portrait painting. I would love to take part in LFI 2025 because the artists in this lineup are masters and if I could glean even 10% of what they teach, I know I’ll be able to improve my own work. I love that each artist gives two lessons, the amount of mediums used, and the unique style of each artist.
