The Many Faces of Charcoal was my first ‘in depth’ charcoal class and I learned so much about charcoal portraits. Juna introduced us to a wide range of materials and techniques. Each week the ‘warm up’ exercise eased us in to the materials and techniques and the projects were not only fun, but also left you with a sense of achievement. Juna is excellent at creating confidence and joy in creativity and she encourages you to discover the versatility of this medium. Her feedback is of a high standard, detailed, helpful and somehow always exactly what you need to help you to relax into a loose, expressive style; to learn and to progress. I would wholeheartedly recommend this stimulating class to students of any level.
