
About 25 years ago I was going through a rough time and I was staying with a friend who lend me Frida Kahlo’s biography. Reading about her life and learning about her power and strength, helped me to find the courage to take some hard decisions. This turned out to be a very positive change in my life and Frida has always remained an inspiration.
This is the first time I’m drawing her, and I could keep working on her face forever…

Recently I saw a documentary of her life history, the courage that she demonstrated on spite of her suffering, gives me a lot to think about.
