In this mini lesson we’re going to create a portrait using three main techniques that I love to work with: drawing, painting, and monoprinting.
The full title of this lesson is Coloring Outside the Lines – Letting Go of Perfectionism. It was originally published as a so-called ‘Taster Session’ that I taught in Life Book 2021. A taster session is a short, compact lesson where I introduce myself to the participants of Life Book and give an impression of what I do and how I work.
The monoprinting technique that I’m showing in this lesson is a very easy technique that doesn’t require any special tools or plates (not even a gel plate). Not only is it a great way to start your portrait in a very free way, but it also adds a surprise aspect and creates gorgeous textures!
