In this 1.5 hour project I’m demonstrating various fun monoprinting techniques that can be used as a starting point for your art. They are great to use if you want to create in an expressive, loose and textured style. And they work for any genre of art: portraits, landscapes, abstract… Whatever you like to make!
We’re going to work with transfer and resist techniques, direct painting, and more. Some of these monoprinting techniques are done on the gel plate, but if you don’t have a gel plate don’t worry: no gel plate required. I’ll give you two really cool alternatives as well – which are actually also fun to explore if you do have a gel plate!
I hope these techniques will inspire you and I can’t wait to see how you’re going to use them in your art. I already have some ideas for using them in my own work this month, which I will share with you as soon as I have made them!
