Just a few weeks before my pastel portrait class The Many Faces of Pastel starts! 🙂 Pastel is such a wonderful medium to work with, and I’m super excited to start this brand-new class with all of you!
In this class you’ll learn all about pastel. We’re going to work with soft pastels, hard pastels and pastel pencils, and explore a variety of techniques to use them. From soft & smooth to raw & expressive. That way you can find the styles and techniques that you like best, and incorporate them in your own work.
To give you an impression of what we’re going to create in this class, here’s a little sneak peek of one of the full-length projects that we’re going to make.
In this particular lesson we’re going to work with a beautiful, soft & blended pastel technique and focus on creating a likeness to the reference photo. The video shows a little sneak peek, but in the actual lesson you’ll get in-depth instruction. I’ll share with you the tools and techniques that I use to stay close to the likeness of the reference photo, and show you from start to finish how this portrait was made.
Enjoy watching!
