I am still liking my current series, so tonight I made this new addition. Initially my idea was to paint a lit lantern, but while painting I thought it was actually more powerful to leave the light off.
I love to create these unknown dark worlds with images that invite the viewer to create a story around them…

And inviting the viewer’s own personal participation … maybe that is what real art is about … inviting the viewer to become more than just a distant viewer … Very beautiful!
